Mike Huckabee talks about the poor customer service with his airline and phone company and then praises Apple for great customer service.
We've all had really positive, and really negative, experiences with customer service! I'd like to hear about yours (tell me about them, not Mike.. he'll just exploit your views and use them to increase his own ratings). *smile*
As for Apple, my son and I have spent countless hours at the Apple store and dealt with them on the phone. It's ALWAYS been a wonderful experience!

I don't have any experience with computer service, but have had real good service from Dish Network and believe it or not - Comcast. Comcast around here finally learned how to compete and they've given me great service on a problem I had with my cable.
Sue, you're one of the first people who I've ever heard say something positive about Dish Network and Comcast. YAY that they service you well in your area. *giggle* I just said they "service you"... hahahahaha
Keep an eye out. In a few minutes I'll be posting a more substantial blog with stories.. I know how you love the stories. =)
Comcast can kiss my @$$. I'll do without TV before giving them any of my money. DirecTV has been really good for me and AT&T is outstanding for local phone service and for their DSL internet service. Their reliability and service is just great! The US Post Office can also kiss my @$$. I've been dealing with them again today. Before Thanksgiving I was gone for a few days and then forgot to check the mail for a few days. Well the postman decided that I had moved and left a message that my mail would be held at the main office and if I didn't pick it up right away it would all be returned. Well I picked it up and they had me put a yellow card in my box with instructions to resume service, which I did. Service has been fine all month until this week. My bank and AT&T called and said that my statements had been returned with a note that I no longer lived here. Well I went over there and thank God I got a nice lady with some sense that found out there was a stop in the system causing some of the mail to be returned. Although, some of it was still getting through. I think the mail man has it out for me because I don't empty the box every day. I can't wait to catch him out there. He's gonna have some "splaining" to do. Oh I also hate Sony. Everything Sony I've ever bought has broken and their customer service could care less. Apple has been great so far but I've not had any reason to deal with their customer service because their stuff just works. Thanks for letting me rant!
Oh, Angie, you made a funny....but I keep thinking of Larry the Cable Guy. And your little joke looses it's appeal:)
Jim, do you feel better now?
HAHAHAHAHAHA Jim! You're welcome! I can't help but laugh at your comment though.
My cells are with AT&T (formerly Cingular) and I think they're great!
I'm sorry to hear you're STILL having postal problems. Hopefully the nice lady at the post office (you know, the one who you didn't tell to kiss your hiney), resolved your problem for good!
I'd love to be a fly on the mailtruck the day you cross paths with Mr. Postman! LOL
Oh Sue, you know Larry is a HOTTIE!
Sue Angie told me that she had a degree in psychology so I guess we're laying up on her sofa getting some customer service therapy on the cheap. LOL
I never said I had a degree in Psychology Jim.. I said I majored in it! Here's the sad part.. I'm ONE class shy of my degree but since SO many years have passed, I'd have to start all over again to achieve the degree.
For what it's worth, I minored in communications.
Well where do I start? LOL I think I will keep my blood pressure down if I just end it now. lol
Breathe Martha Breathe!! You just keep focusing on the positive and forget I ever mentioned the desire to hear y'alls customer service rants!!!
Angie if you're just one credit shy, that's close enough to lie about it. I say Angie is a Psychology major!
Angie I just noticed this comment on another blog and thought it was good advice for us and something I actually try to practice:
‘Be kinder than appears necessary because everyone you meet is
fighting some kind of battle.’
Where ever you go, Wal-Mart, gas station, restuarant, you are going to run into some stupid policy that makes absolutely no sense. For me, it happens at least two or three times every week. But getting nasty to the clerk that is expected to enforce the stupid policy, is not going to accomplish anything positive and only leaves you frustrated and the clerk pissed-off.
As a customer, just smile. Sometimes I say, “I understand. I used to be in your shoes.”
Those employees that you interact with are at the bottom of the food chain, just like you.
That's great advice Jim!
When I do choose to rant to a customer service representative (more often this applies to the phone verses in person), I will typically preface my rant with "I know this is NOT your fault, but I'm about to rant, please don't take it personally....". Or "You don't want to talk to me right now, please save yourself some anguish and go ahead a put your Supervisor on the phone with me". If they proceed to "push", I remind them that they were duly warned!! LOL
